ANALYSIS OF THE LEVEL OF FORMATION OF UNIVERSAL COMPETENCIES INDICATORS IN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS BY THE MEDIA CONSUMPTION INDIVIDUAL STYLE

Abstract

During the introduction of new generation federal standards into higher medical education, the issue of integrating universal competencies into the educational program of a medical university in the field of «Clinical Medicine» becomes urgent. At the same time, it is impossible to consider the formation of a number of universal competencies without assessing indicators related to media competence. In our work, we examined the indicators of the media consumption individual style among medical students in terms of the duration of study at the university and the gender aspect. The data obtained indicate the congruence of the media competence of students at a medical university in the educational program, as well as the presence of certain gender differences, expressed in the fact that the reflexive criticality of media consumption is more pronounced in boys, and emotional and cognitive involvement in girls. It is shown that it is advisable to conduct metasubject classes on the II-III course, which contribute to an increase in the media competence of students at a medical university.
