Higher pharmaceutical education – specialist programme & residency: pro et contra.

Abstract

In the article prospects of higher pharmaceutical education in Russia through analysis of existing educational paths (educational programs) are discussed. It is noted that existing normative legal base determines possible reduction of pharmaceutical residency programs. As a basis for discussion acceptable educational trajectories of higher pharmaceutical education are offered. The importance of residency in the light of current professional standards for pharmacy professionals is also discussed.
