Implementation and realization system of an elective course on psychodermatology in a medical school

Abstract

A survey of senior students was performed in order to increase the efficacy of education in the department of dermatology and sexually transmitted diseases named after V.A. Rahmanov of medical faculty I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. The aim of the survey was an implementation and realization of an elective course in psychodermatology. 45 students aged 19–27 years (mean age 23,66±1,51 years) participated in the survey. The majority of students acknowledged the relevance and the need to establish such a course. Based on the results obtained an elective course with an emphasis on self-tuition and cooperation of students and educators was developed and implemented.
