COMPETENCY-ORIENTED APPROACH TO TEACHING THE DISCIPLINE “HEALTHY LIFESTYLE”
AbstractThe article presents the analysis and results of teaching the discipline “Healthy Lifestyle” to 1st year students of the Higher School of Medicine of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in the specialty “General Medicine”, taking into account their independent work and the application of the method of group discussion and the basics of project activities. As a result of such training, students received the skills of analytical, project, sanitary and preventive activities, the ability to communicate, work in a team, defend their point of view, think critically, as well as correctly relate to their health and lifestyle. Taking into account the application of the modern paradigm of the competency-oriented direction the article analyzes the possibilities of the course “Healthy Lifestyle”.
