The effectiveness of the practical training of neurosurgical staff in a simulation center
AbstractObject. The object of the study was to develop indicators to monitor the effectiveness of functioning and evaluation of the neurosurgical staff teaching work on the basis of simulation centers at various levels.
Methods. Analysis of 2 simulation centers activity, based on which the training of neurosurgeons was performed. The study was conducted using 13 indicators characterizing the effectiveness of the center's activities, the quality and practical relevance of training.
Results. For 48 months on the basis of first level of the simulation center trained 84 doctors, 199 simulations of neurosurgical interventions were performed. For 7 months on the basis of a second level of the simulation center trained 52 physicians who have completed 205 neurosurgical simulations. Progress in the development of practical skills mentioned 70 —78% of students, 95.4% able of physicians to realize their need for training. The degree of satisfaction with the acquired skills as a highly rated by 89% of students, practical significance of simulation training as sufficient noted 92%.
Conclusions. In multidisciplinary center it is possible to increase the quantitative performance through implementation of various medical disciplines curriculum. In assessing the doctors training activity within the same specialty are important the indicators characterizing the availability of simulation models and educational equipment at the time of the training course for a specific student.
